MINUTES OF THE RAOC BICESTER BRANCH MEETING AGM OCTOBER 2007

OPENING STATEMENT – The president opened the meeting and welcomed everyone present. He announced that a new committee would be proposed at this meeting. He also announced that the annual dinner would take place in the Wayland Hall Bicester and that Geordie Bone and Paul Dooley would be organising it.
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING - The President asked that the previous minutes be recorded as a true reflection of the meeting.

TREASURERS REPORT – The Treasurer presented the audited Statement of Accounts as at the 23 Oct 07 the account stood at £696.76. The President asked that the Statement of Branch accounts be accepted.

ELECTION OF BRANCH OFFICIALS – The new committee will be as follows; President Col Smith, Chairman J Bone, Secretary P Dooley, Treasurer E Hawkins.

REMEMBRANCE DAY LAYING OF WREATH - A wreath is to be laid during the Bicester Memorial Service at St Edberg’s Church on behalf of the branch. Arthur Weightman kindly volunteered to lay the wreath and has agreed to wear his service dress.

A VOTE OF THANKS AND APPRECIATION – A huge vote of thanks is given to Col Smith and Ellen Hawkins for holding the fort during these recent troubled and turbulent times. Without their selfless efforts the Bicester branch may well have gone under.

DINNER 30 NOV – Our new Chairman gave details of our forthcoming annual dinner and answered members questions.
RAOC/RLC ASSOCIATION CONVERGENCE - Col D Irvine gave a brief presentation on the subject of convergence and concluded his talk by stating that we are in “a safe pair of hands”.
DATE OF NEXT MEETING – The next meeting is to be confirmed. As with previous AGM’s it is planned to hold it in November on the same night as our annual dinner.
There being no further business the meeting closed at 20:55hrs.
